Challenge Heaven

I haven't had a great deal of time to scrap this week, but I have finished by entry for the Number Challenge at Challenge Heaven.
The criteria this months were to use 3 pieces of patterned paper, 2 circles and 1 bracket.

I used DCWV cardstock for the base and 3 pieces of pp from DCWV Citrus Stack. I stamped a circle journalling tag and cut it out and then placed buttons around Eli's face for my second circle. I cut a bracket from some more DCWV Cirtus Stack paper and coated it with Dimentional Magic. Must make sure it's glued down better next time as the edges have curled a little. The alphas were form Ned's ($2 store).

I have one more challenge to complete then I'm done for this month at Challenge Heaven.

Farewell Card

A dear friend of mine who has gone through soooo much in this last 18 months has met a man that makes her completely happy! She made the agonising decision to up root the kids and move interstate with him a few weeks ago. They are all absolutely enjoying their new life and the kids are having a ball.
I made this card for their going away. I didn't want some soppy farewell card (there were enough tears as it was). I wanted to celebrate their new life together after all the trauma and heartache they had been through.

I borrowed my other dear friends Stampin Up! stamp set to make the house and clouds, used scraps of Bazzil that I had laying around, some cute little flower brads that I think I got from Cheap as Chips and a nice yellow button to represent the sun.

Scrapbooking Memories Challenges

I quite like taking part in the challenges over at the Scrapbooking Memories Forum. They usually have a couple of LO Sketch Challenges and a Card Sketch Challenge too. Everyone gets to vote and then a RAK is sent to the winners. You can see this months Challenges and entries here.

I have done Sketch #2.

I used this photo of Ethan taken in January last year in Mount Gambier (first trip). He's eating his first choccy frog.

Navy Bazzil has been used as the base, part of a sheet of DCWV from the Citrus Stack, some White Bazzil for the photomat and journalling strips, KaiserCraft white and blue flower and some blue KaiserCraft pearls, American Craft chip thickers that I painted white, Cosmo Cricket Tiny Alphas, white Signo pen to doodle around the edges.

I've been busy!

I thoroughly enjoyed looking up scrap challenges and completing them last month that I thought I'd do it again this month.

I have a huge list of challenges I want to complete this month and so far I have done four LO's!

The first is for the April Sketch Challenge over at ScrapTherapy.

I received my latest ST order on tuesday which contained a heap of the new Sassafras Lass ranges and some Cosmo Cricket Tiny Alphas. So I put them to use.

I used Apple Jack Recite (reverse) for the background pp, an Apple Jack Journalling tag and embelly from the cardstock sticker sheet, Apple Jack Glitter Aplhas, Kraft and Cosmo Tiny Alphas in cream.

Next up are 2 of the 4 (out of 7 choices) I need to complete for this months challenges over at Challenge Heaven. I've not taken part in their challenges before.

I took this pic of Eli snuggled up in my arms (yep Eli in one arm, camera in the other) at the Vansittart Park in Mount Gambier when we holidayed their in January. He was nice a snuggled up there just taking everything in while Ethan ran amok on the playground. It's a blurry pic, but I just love it. I thought this would be a great pic to scrap for the Word Challenge. We had to use the word Relax in the title and also use paint effects.

I have used Basic Grey Mellow in Savoury for my background pp, roughly painted it a little with KaiserCraft Raw Umber paint, American Crafts chip thickers and Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type Alphas. I then made some flowers using some tea stained phone book paper, KaiserCraft chocolate flowers and misc brads.

I love a sketch but was struggling with this one in the Sketch challenge until I had a gander through my old photos. I came across these pics of Randalls first day of Kindy and thought they would be perfect with some of those Sassafras Lass pp's.

Photobucket

I used Nerdy Birdy Star Struck pp for the background, Apple Jack recite for the numbers at the bottom, Apple Jack Glitter Alphas, and some more Cosmo Cricket Tiny Alphas in cream. I just love these tiny alphas!

I can't wiat to get back into my scrap room and get some more donw. Stay tuned!

Ethan & Eli's Name Plates and Train Tidy

Hello Everyone. Hope you are all enjoying your Easter.

Thought I'd take some pics of a couple of projects I did for the littlies a while back.

First up is the boys name plates. These were originally going to be hung on their bedroom door. However in this place all our interior doors (except bathroom and loo) are sliding doors, so they will get hung above their beds instead.

I have used all KasierCraft products except for the Dimentional Magic on the chip letters.

For Ethans I have used Kaisers Letter "E", pp from the Spirograph range, chip letters and Lime paint.

For Eli's the same letter "E", pp from Offshore, chip letters and Turquoise paint.

My other project I comepeted a few months ago is KaiserCraft Train Tidy. I have used the KaiserCraft Train Tidy, Marrakech papers, navy paint, and lots of bling.
