October 123 Challenge

I just love the challenges at 123 Challenge!

This months criteria were:
The colour GREEN
The word GO
And a HAND DRAWN and HAND CUT title

Here's my take:

Not the best pic I know but I cannot get this LO to photograph nicely for some reason.

I have used Echo Parks Walk in the Park pp's and die cut stickers, Purple Pumpkin buttons, ribbon and yoyo flower, and my own Itty Bitty Flowers.

Some close ups:

Just love this owl in the tree

We're Home!!!!!

We've just spent a week in Mildura and then a few days in Berri. Pitty the weather wasn't too flash. We had nearly 40mm in Mildura on the friday alone! Berri was lovely and we do plan to go back there for a nice holiday.
I did get to meet the gorgeous Allie Collyer while I was in Mildura for a cuppa and a scrappy chat which was lovely.

Mildura also has a Spotlight and a Lincraft! I was sooooo happy and have come away with a massive bundle of gorgeous crochet cottons. Lots of new colours too. Think peaches and cream, roses and avocados.

I have my next update pencilled in for Monday 8th November at 8pm Adelaide time.

Will be back later in the week for a bit of a sneak peak.

Remember when I was Queen of the Crop?
Well my Guest DT spot has rolled around. This months theme @ Scrapbooking Top 50 is Handmade which is right up my alley.

Vicki asked me to create the challenge for the Opening Night Mini Challenge (and another challenge that you will just have to wait a little bit for).

Here it is:

I have used a Kraft cardstock base. Covered with Kaisers Hey Birdy pp. Topped with My Minds Eye frame from Quite Contrary range.
The HOME card is from the My Minds Eye Alphabet Soup Card pack (girls set).
Crocheted Itty Bitty Flowers are my own.

Please pop over and have a go at the Mini Challenge. I am also sponsoring this challenge and the winner will receive a Mixed Doily pack valued at $15!

The Lollypop Ladies #5

The criteria for this fortnights challenge was to use Candy Canes as the inspiration and to have your work in the theme of Christmas.

I used the strips of the candy canes as my inspiration. I am quite addicted to striped pp and just love the one in Kaisers Belle range form last year. I used three different pp's fromt he 6x6 paper pad and a Kaiser wooden star and mounted it all on some Kraft as the card base.

Prima Holiday Journal

I just loved these Prima Road Trip papers when I saw them showcased at ScrapTherapy that I just had have them to make us a new holiday journal.

I covered an ordinary notebook with Kraft cardstock .
I then used two sheets of the same paper from the 6x6 pad offset from each other to cover the front cover. To cover the join I used the two woodgrain papers and titled it with Coso Cricket Tiny Type alphas.
Some glittered chippie shapes, a My minds Eye Alphabet Soup car brad and a Purple Pumpkin Camper button were added.
I had the enjoy metal embelly from when I first started so I threaded some twine through it and attached it to the cover.

The inside cover I stamped one of the Road Trip stamps all over some more Kraft using VersaColor Pinecone ink. The stamps smudged a little as I was being a little careless oops.

I made an envelope out more Kraft and covered it with another pp and added another glittered chippie shape. The envelope will come in hand for putting in reciepts as I like to keep track of fuel etc when we go away.

The back cover has just the plain stamped Kraft on the inside and the out side a sheet of pp and another glittered chippie shape.
